Selvedge Dry Goods

Owner/Maker Monique Cruz is the proprietress of Selvedge Dry Goods. The L.A. native studied product development at FIDM in San Francisco. After establishing her career as a childrenswear designer, Monique returned to her roots to share her love of design and her Mexican culture. 

Growing up in the SGV, Monique was inspired by the equestrian lifestyle in Avocado Heights. Con mucho apoyo from her family and determination, Selvedge childrenswear was born, in 2011, focusing on the vaquero lifestyle and serape textiles.  Wholesale presentation of the brand was an instant hit among western boutiques throughout the country! After operating the business out of her home for 10 years, Selvedge opened its first HQ in the City of Montebello in 2022.
